Mission Statement Activity

This activity should take at least two full advisories, but could extend for several advisories depending upon you level of processing. Please ask students to take this seriously. NEASC will expect that students are familiar with the mission statement of the school and that it represents what we do.

#1 Please ask the students if they know what a mission statement does or is intended to do. Record the answers. Then give the Webster definition : A summary describing the aims, values and overall plan of an organization or individual.

#2. Ask students if they have any idea what the TVHS mission statement says. Record comments.

#3 Please hand out a copy of the TVHS Mission Statement and have students read the statement silently, and then aloud as a group.
