After graduation Karen Molina lived for 12 years in Madrid, Spain, studying Spanish and teaching English as a Second Language. In 1981, Ms. Molina relocated to the Deerfield Valley to teach Spanish and French in Windham Southwest Supervisory Union.

Ms. Molina has organized and led 6 student trips to Spain and France during her tenure in the Deerfield Valley. She has been chosen as UVM Outstanding Teacher for her interest in and concern for her students.

Ms. Molina is a founding member of the Deerfield Valley Community Partnership and has served as the Wilmington/Whitingham Leadership Project Coordinator as well as the Mentoring Program Coordinator.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Molina is interested in travel, having served as a teacher ambassador to China, Mexico, and Japan during summer vacations. She enjoys spending time with her daughter Sara, quilting, gardening and reading.
