| ......Spanish 2 continues the introduction to the Spanish language. Students will study vocabulary, sentence structure and Spanish culture. New competencies will include describing one’s daily routine, describing people, comparing things, describing the outdoors. describing the physical appearance and habitat of animals, ordering from a restaurant, discussing events from the past, responding appropriately to situations in a hotel, asking and comprehending directions, expressing the future, Conversation will be stressed through every day classroom instruction, and students will be responsible for several oral presentations throughout the year. An emphasis on writing in Spanish will be achieved through five or more essays throughout the year. Also included is an introduction to Spanish literature through regular level appropriate readings.A Portfolio which documents the student's ability to read, write speak and orally comprehend Spanish is required for the completion of this class. |
